Sheryl Crow has a lot of friends.

Sheryl Crow showed up at the studio today with a full entourage.

3 Guitarist
2 Back up singers
3 Different Managers
1 Assistant
2 Roadies
1 Sound Engineer
1 Photographer
1 Random Kid

We were asked to not take photos or videos of the interview. If you want to listen to the interview, check it out on our on demand interview page. Don't worry though, I did get you something. Sheryl Crow left her coffee cup that she was drinking out of at the studio, so I grabbed it. Check out this exclusive blog only contest. The first person to leave me a comment wins Sheryl Crow's coffee cup from the Lightning 100 studio. You have a week until I put this cup on ebay to pay my mortgage.

We keep a lot of strange things.

The last few weeks have been interesting. Each day I spend most of my time on the website, but I am also cleaning out the upstairs so I can have an official desk and work area. As you can imagine, a radio station can collect a lot of crap. We have endless boxes of cds that we don't play, paper work dated from 1992 and an assortment of free promo stuff that no one really ever wanted. I did find an assortment of humorous items:

Broken radio tower light

Old police lightst that used to be on top of the van

We still play 8-tracks

Lt. Dan's secret stach of bad movie soundtracks

One eyed broken desk toy

Bottle of lube

I stopped cleaning after I found the bottle of lube. Give me another week and I will be blogging from a real desk. Wish me luck.

DJ Puppy

So the other day Laurel found these three puppies out by the train tracks. Laurel is a strong believer in "no pup left behind" philosophy, so she brought them up to the station. They are actually hanging out in our office, not making a peep. We are asking our listeners if there is anyone out there that would want to provide a home for these puppies? I have already given them names, but feel free to rename them. If you are inquiring about the three dogs, please call 242-5600.
